![]() Hi all, Literally downloaded Blender today and have zero experience with animation software, so sorry in advance. However, I enjoy creating paint schemes for a popular racing simulator called iRacing. I would like to start creating helmet designs but the template layout that iRacing provides is terrible to work with. I recently watched this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3ZncC7VDLk that has me thinking the best way to go about doing this would be to paint it in 3d and then export to the proper .tga format that iRacing uses. My problem is that I have no idea how to import the .tga file into Blender to begin with, if it's even possible. It seems the guy in the video recreated the the helmet shell completely from scratch. Is there a way to get blender to open the file?
